Bolivarian Socialist Trade Union Central of the City, Countryside and Fishing

Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

International Coordination

Dear Comrade Francisco Dominguez

National Secretary of the Venezuela Solidarity Campaign, United Kingdom

Please accept fraternal and combative greetings from the Bolivarian Socialist Trade Union Central of the City, Countryside and Fishing (CBST-CCP), on behalf of the Venezuelan working class, which today more than ever is resisting imperialist aggression with dignity.

We have learned with deep gratitude and admiration of the tireless solidarity work carried out by you and the Venezuela Solidarity Campaign. The firm condemnation of 40 British MPs, the support of trade union general secretaries and the collection of more than 5,000 signatures rejecting the Yankee aggression and the vile kidnapping of Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, First Lady and Deputy Cilia Flores, are eloquent examples of proletarian internationalism in action.

This brutal attack is not only an affront to Venezuela, but a direct attack on the sovereignty of peoples, the right to self-determination and the most basic principles of international law. Imperialism, with its media, legal and economic war machine, is attempting to subdue a people who have freely chosen their path towards Bolivarian socialism.

The Yankee attack on Venezuela, in addition to violating our sovereignty, has left a deep wound due to the criminal murder of more than 100 people, including military personnel and civilians, and the kidnapping of the president and his wife, carried out with cold cruelty and fascist motivations. It is a difficult situation to manage, but we are certain that we can count on the support of our people and international solidarity to achieve their freedom, for which we need the maximum international effort.

As organised workers, we greatly appreciate that trade unions and class organisations in the United Kingdom are raising the banner of truth and justice. Your parliamentary work and your outreach to regional trade union organisations are fundamental in exposing the hybrid war being waged against our country.

Your commitment is a beacon of hope and a call for global unity of the working class in the face of imperialist oppression.

We demand the immediate and unconditional release of President Nicolas Maduro and Deputy Cilia Flores!

Long live international solidarity among peoples!

Comrade Dominguez, you can count on us to continue building networks of resistance and solidarity. Our struggles are one and the same.

Sincerely,

Wils Rangel

President

Hasta la Victoria Siempre!
